The Portland Press Herald reports on a new charter-boat company called Portland Harbor Fleet that will use a decommissioned Navy utility boat, UB85, as its flagship vessel.

Capt. Gene Willard, the senior ferry captain at Casco Bay Lines, will head the company. According to the Herald, Willard will work with Bateman Partners, developers of the Inn at Diamond Cove on Great Diamond Island, to provide historical and recreational tours of Casco Bay and charter service to the inn and other destinations.

The 50’ UB85 will also be available for private charters for guests at the Inn on Peaks Island Inn.
