Discovering the Rhode Island Shore is a new free web app offered by Rhode Island Sea Grant designed to help Ocean State locals and visitors find their way to boat ramps, fishing-access sites, wildlife refuges, beaches, and other locales along the Rhode Island coast. Over 300 access points are included in the app, which allows the user to select for the type of activity he or she wishes to pursue.

This app is a digital update to a 2004 publication, Public Access to the Rhode Island Coast. Sites chosen for this app are either: (1) owned by federal, state, or municipal government and managed for the public; (2) owned by private organizations that welcome the public; (3) designated rights-of-way by the R.I. Coastal Resources Management Council, or by the municipalities, and suitable for public use.
