Free Fly-Tying Workshops Available in RI

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) will host a series of free fly-tying workshops for novice and experienced fly-tiers this summer.

The Workshops will be held:

Tuesdays, July 5, 12 & 19, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Lincoln Public Library, 145 Old River Road, Lincoln.

Wednesdays, July 6, 13 & 20, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Glocester Manton Public Library, 1137 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. 

Mondays, August 1, 15, & 22, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. At Langworthy Public Library, 24 Spring Street, Hopkinton. 

Wednesday, August 10, 17 & 24  from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at North Smithfield Public Library, 20 Main Street, Slatersville.

Instruction on both fresh- and saltwater angling will be included, and all equipment and materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own materials, if they prefer.

Children aged 10 and older are invited to participate. Space is limited and registration is required.
