Garmin’s new GPSMAP 7400 and 7600 series of multifunction displays (MFD) boast a vibrant widescreen display available in 7”, 8”, 10” and 12” sizes. With full pinch-to-zoom touchscreen capabilities, the units deliver digital switching, weather, radar, thermal and IP camera information.
All models in the 7400 and 7600 series have a built-in 10Hz GPS, allowing for faster and more accurate position tracking and updates. Premium sailing features have also been integrated into the entire line of products. These included laylines, tidal information, enhanced wind rose and a current slider.
For fishermen, the GPSMAP 7400xsv and 7600xsv series feature Garmin’s premier sonar technology. In addition to offering the same screen sizes and features listed above, the GPSMAP 7400xsv and 7600xsv units come with traditional HD-ID sonar, true dual 1kW CHIRP sonar, CHIRP DownVü and SideVü, providing distinct target location and separation.
A worldwide basemap comes preloaded on the GPSMAP 7400 series, while BlueChart g2 coastal and LakeVu HD inland lake maps are both preloaded on the xsv and non-xsv series of GPSMAP 7600 MFDs. And with built-in WiFi, the BlueChart Mobile and Garmin Helm mobile apps can interface with the MFDs for seamless utilization.
