Gloucester, MA, Gets New Fireboat

Gloucester Times: The city [of Gloucester, MA] has added a new boat to the Harbormaster Office’s armada that will expand its capability for rescue work in inclement weather while adding a much-needed platform for on-the-water firefighting.

The city, at the behest of Harbormaster Thomas “T.J.” Ciarametaro Jr., has accepted the 25’ Parker marine custom fiberglass rescue and fireboat from the Gloucester Community Emergency Response Team for $1. The boat is in the process of being outfitted with the necessary improvements and technology for its rescue and enforcement tasks.
