Gloucester Marina Plans Massive Boat-Storage Facility

A property recently acquired by Cape Ann’s Marina Resort property off Essex Avenue in Gloucester, MA, is being proposed as the future site of a 40,000-square-foot boat-storage building.

The heated facility would allow for the storage of large vessels that cannot be stored elsewhere in the area. However, the proposed 55-foot tall building is drawing opposition from some local residents, who worry that it will interfere with harbor views.

Dominick Holdings LLC, headed by the family that owns and operates Cape Ann’s Marina Resort, has submitted plans for a single building that would be built over a 2- to 3-year period at a projected cost of $1 million.
