Goose Hummock Cape Cod Report: 7.25.12
July 26, 2012
Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans, Massachusetts, offers the following report for July 25, 2012.
After a slow couple of days last week that had both the commercial and recreational anglers pulling their hair out, the outstanding striped bass fishing returned in Chatham over the past few days.
With the warm water temps, this is still a vertical jigging/long-wire fishery. Judging by customer reports and purchases, jigs and rubber baits in pink or red seem to be the preferred color.
If you are after bluefish—big bluefish—they are driving the guys targeting bass crazy off Chatham.
The school bluefin bite has been red hot off of Chatham. Got Stryper Pintains and RonZ’s have been the go-to casting lures
