October 20, 2013
Gloucester, Massachusetts, will receive a $75,000 state grant aimed at helping the struggling Gloucester fishing industry, according to an article on GloucesterTimes.com.
The grant will be used to develop a plan for sustaining the industry’s essential shore-side infrastructure. Officials worry that if fishing facilities along the shore disappear, it will be unlikely that they could ever return.
