Great White Shark Gets Stranded on MA Beach
July 14, 2015
Beachgoers in Chatham, Massachusetts helped save a great white shark on Monday after it became stranded on a beach.
The 7’ juvenile male shark beached itself while trying to catch a seagull near the barrier breach on South Beach.
Beachgoers helped keep the shark wet until it could be rescued. Marine Fisheries officials were able to tag the shark, attach a line to its rear caudal fin, and return it to the sea.
