Greenwich, CT, Seeks New Harbormaster The ship has sailed for Jonathan Asch, Greenwich’s at-times brash and controversial harbormaster. Asch, 58, who was appointed to a 3-year term by Gov. M. Jodi Rell in 2008 upon the recommendation of the town, is removing his name from the list of prospective applicants for the job. Not that he would have gotten the nod to start, he said.

The town—making no mention of Asch—announced the formation of a search committee for harbormaster Friday. The application deadline is May 9.
