Best known for its classic mahogany powerboats, the New York-based Hacker Craft will display its first ever model with a fiberglass hull at the 2015 Palm Beach International Boat Show in March. “Over the years prospective customers have asked if we make a fiberglass hull, and we decided to introduce this model to meet that demand”, said George Badcock, president and CEO of the Hacker Boat Company.
The new model is 27’ long, 7’ 3” wide and weighs in at 5,250 pounds. Power is a 6.2L, 430-hp Ilmor engine. Installed options include a stereo with 4 speakers; Bluetooth module (stereo); depthsounder; swim platform; bright finished engine compartment; underwater LED lighting and a bow thruster. The boat is priced at $325,240.
The company will also continue to build boats with mahogany hulls.
