HMS Bounty Coast Guard Hearing Begin

SailFeed.com: Today (February 12) the Coast Guard begins nine days of public formal hearings in Portsmouth, Virginia, on the sinking of the HMS Bounty during Hurricane Sandy last fall.
After departing New Haven, Connecticut, the Bounty was on its way to Florida when it tried to dodge Hurricane Sandy off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The ship began taking on water in heavy seas, leading to a daring Coast Guard rescue of the crew and the loss of the ship and ship’s captain.
