Holby Marine Sold to Owner of RothBilt

Tom Johnson, owner of RothBilt Boats, has announced that his new company, Pilot Boats, LLC has purchased the assets of Holby Marine, formally headquartered in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The boat molds and tooling have been transported to Maine, where production will commence soon. Johnson is also pleased to announce a concurrent production agreement with Front Street Shipyard (FSS) to build the full line of Pilot Boats for the newly created entity. The boats will be manufactured in Belfast, Maine, at the main FSS facility.

The Pilot Boat product line includes the Pilot 18, Pilot 20 and Pilot 24. The Pilot 18 and 20 will now be available in a center console configuration, while the Pilot 20 and 24 can be purchased in a cuddy cabin layout. The Pilot 20 and 24 have the pedigree of a Mark Ellis design (www.markellisdesign.ca), and Ellis will continue in an advisory capacity for Pilot Boats.
