According to SouthCoastToday.com, a juvenile humpback whale was spotted in Padanarum Harbor, MA, on Monday, Dec. 7. Officials with the MA Division of Fisheries & Wildlife suspect it was the same whale that was sighted off Nye’s Wharf in Marion, MA, on Friday, Dec. 4, and off Fort Taber in New Bedford on Thursday, Dec. 3.

According to the article, officials think the young whale is likely exploring Buzzards Bay and feeding on baitfish before making its way south for the winter.
