With a fishhook lodged in its wing and possibly unable to fly, a cormorant in Tiverton, Rhode Island, walked perhaps half a mile inland to the Tiverton South Fire Station to receive help, according to an article on EastBayRI.com.

Firefighters contacted the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, who sent someone to help the bird.
