Inquirer & Mirror: The shoaling at the entrance to Hyannis Harbor that has plagued the Steamship Authority with delays this spring caused further disruptions this week, and forced the boat line to cancel 2 of its trips. More problems lie ahead.
The accumulating sand in the channel from Hurricane Sandy and a succession of powerful storms over the winter has left Hyannis Harbor inaccessible at low tide for the Steamship Authority’s largest vessels, the M/V Eagle and M/V Nantucket.
