BostonGlobe.com: A Hingham [Massachusetts] commuter ferry had to be towed to clear waters Friday morning after its captain became concerned that 4-foot-thick ice would damage the boat’s propellers.

According to Allison Nolan, principal and general manager of Boston Harbor Cruises, which runs the commuter ferry service for the MBTA, 103 passengers were aboard. None of them were injured and there was no damage to the boat.
