Isham Street Ramp Closed in Mystic, CT

The Isham Street boat ramp on the Mystic River has been closed to trailered boats due to its deteriorating condition. It remains open to canoes and kayaks.

In announcing the closure, the town said “the Board of Selectmen has been advised by the town’s insurance carrier, that use of the ramp in its current state should be limited to ‘roof top boats,’ i.e. canoes, kayaks and the like, to avoid possible damage to vehicles and persons while loading and unloading trailered boats.”

It stated that the state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the town are conducting an assessment of the ramp.
