Kayakers Pulled from Long Island Sound

Two kayakers were rescued by marine police Monday evening after they capsized in Long Island Sound off Norwalk, Connecticut, according to an article in the Stamford Advocate.

A resident called police after she noticed two men whose kayaks had capsized struggling to get back into them just after 8 p.m.

The men — with their kayaks filled with water — were unable to get back in. After being in the water for 15 to 20 minutes, the two were tiring and may have been about to abandon the kayaks and attempt swimming to shore, when they were rescued by police.
