Kayakers Rescued on Maine Pond

Three men were rescued on Tuesday afternoon, April 21, from Sabattus Pond in Sabattus, Maine, when their kayaks capsized.

Rescued were a father and son—Corey Bouchard, 29, Cody McClain, 26—and Bouchard’s father. All were all taken to Central Maine Medical Center with signs of sever hypothermia.

Members of the Sabattus Fire Department located Bouchard and his father near the center of the pond, where they had been floating for about 45 minutes. Both men had “zero motor functions,” according to one of the rescuers.
