Fourth- and fifth-graders from the New England Aquarium Harbor Discoveries camp recently explored a salt marsh in Massachusetts’ North River, according to an article in the Patriot Ledger.

Children in five other summer programs from Connecticut to Maine are performing similar studies at local marshes, and they will share their discoveries during a video conference in October. All of the groups are determining the marshes’ elevations and temperatures, and seeing what animals and vegetation they find.
