Land Transferred on Salmon River, CT

TheHour.com: The Nature Conservancy says it has transferred parcels of land in Old Lyme and East Haddam to the Silvio O. Conte National Fish & Wildlife Refuge.
The 56-acre property in Old Lyme is part of the estate of acclaimed naturalist and ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson and was purchased by the conservancy in 2002.
The 40-acre parcel in East Haddam includes a tributary of the Salmon River and was jointly owned by the conservancy and the Middlesex Land Trust.
