An agreement has been reached that will allow the Cedar Island Lighthouse on Long Island’s Cedar Point to be renovated and used as a bed and breakfast, according to an article in the Easthampton Star.

The agreement on the light, which stands along the passage between Gardiner’s Bay and Shelter Island Sound, was reached between the Suffolk County Parks Department and the Long Island Chapter of the United States Lighthouse Society.
