MA Lobsterman Wants to Halt Fundraiser for Boat

An Ipswich, MA, lobsterman who lost his 28’ boat in a fire on Friday, Nov. 6, off the tip of Plum Island wants to halt a GoFundMe fundraiser campaign started by a friend. According to NorthofBoston.com, Sammy Allen is grateful for the efforts to raise money to replace his boat, but doesn’t want the help.

As of Nov. 15, 91 people had donated $7,276 to the GoFundMe campaign.
