MA Seeks Disaster Relief for Commercial Fishermen

Cape Cod Online: Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has asked U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary John Bryson for $21 million in disaster assistance for Massachusetts fishermen who suffered losses in 2010 because of strict new regulations.

In his request, Patrick cited 3 reports, including 2 released Tuesday, which show that total revenues were down by $11 million for 12 of the 17 fishing “sectors.”
