Maine-Built Boat Show This Weekend

People interested in seeing some of Maine’s finest craftsmanship will have plenty of options this August, with the 9th annual Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show in Rockland on August 12-14, followed immediately by the second annual Open Boatyard Days, August 15-16. (article link)

The show, which features furniture-makers, artists, architects, designers and boatuilders, is Maine’s only in-the-water boat show and offers visitors the chance to meet Maine craftsmen and step aboard the boats of their dreams. “Open Boatyard Days” is a 2- event sponsored by Maine Built Boats where visitors can tour boatyards and marine-related businesses from Kittery to Eastport. Participating businesses will offer guided tours on the hour, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Boatbuilding is the third-largest manufacturing industry in Maine and remains an essential part of the state’s economy. Maine Built Boats is a non-profit, member-driven trade organization building awareness, appreciation and demand for Maine’s boatbuilding industry.

Show Information:

  • Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m..
  • Sunday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m..
  • Rockland, Maine, Harbor Park on the waterfront.
