Maine Seal Recuperating on Cape Cod

CapeCodOnline: When was the last time you pulled an all-nighter with a seal?

Staff at the National Marine Life Center can easily answer “Wednesday” [October 10] after spending the wee hours keeping an eye on Townsend, a weanling found injured in Maine.

“This is really exciting because it’s actually the first animal to be a patient in our new marine animal hospital,” Kate Shaffer, animal care and facilities coordinator at the center, said.
