Fueled by a desire to get more people outside and enjoying the outdoors, John Connelly completed his 75-day, 1,500-mile kayak expedition—dubbed “PaddleQuest 1500”—on Sunday, June 19, off Kittery Point, Maine.

Connelly launched his kayak in Old Forge, VT, in April, and his river/ocean odyssey carried him over 2 countries, 4 states, 22 streams and 58 lakes. The expedition served as the first to link the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, the Saint John River, the Bay of Fundy and the Maine Island Trail.
