Man Rescued on Saco River, ME

Seacoast Online reports that a 55-year-old Massachusetts man was rescued on Sunday, July 19, after his canoe capsized on Maine’s Saco River in an area knows as Walker’s Rips.

Fryeburg police report that the man hit his head and knee on the rocks before other canoeists were able to bring him to shore. The unidentified victim was reported to be in stable condition at Bridgton Hospital.
