Man Seeks to Build Whale Skeleton Sculpture
March 10, 2014

SouthcoastToday: Brett Sylvia opens the heavy freight elevator door that leads to the block-long third floor of an old Cliftex mill building in the South End [of New Bedford, MA].

In a corner of that vast space there’s a door leading to a large studio he shares with a rock band and a clothing designer, the one and only studio space in the vast building.
And there in that space is the whale, a life-size skeleton of a whale that Sylvia hopes will be paraded in the streets of New Bedford during the visit of the historic whaleship Charles W. Morgan.
