Marine Art Sale This Weekend
December 9, 2010
New England Boating contributing photographer Joe Devenney and his wife, Mary, will be holding a holiday sale of their photography, painting and pottery over the next 2 weekends (December 11-12 and 18-19) at the couple’s Jefferson, Maine, studio.
The hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., although the Devenneys are happy to arrange a showing outside of the scheduled dates and hours.
Joe is a freelance photographer specializing in Maine maritime subjects, while Mary is a potter who also teaches art at Erskine Academy in South China, Maine. Both were full-time potters during the late ‘70s and ‘80s, and have recently returned to the medium.
The Devenneys will be joined by their daughters Angela and Nina, who will be showing their prints, photographs and soft sculpture works during the sale. Angela is a photography graduate from the Massachusetts College of Art, while Nina holds a BFA in Sculpture from U-Mass Amherst.
