The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association, in conjunction with our Educational Trust, has made workforce development a top priority.
We recognize the shortage of boating industry employees and plan to work to fill the many open positions currently available within the industry here in Massachusetts. We recently created the above video to help introduce more people to the boating industry and let them know about the many job/career opportunities available right here in Massachusetts. In addition to the video, we also created a new website to focus on the following three key workforce related items:
- Current jobs/careers available within the industry that our members are hiring for.
- Educational partners – The schools that we currently work to help fill this demand.
- Scholarship opportunities – Our Educational Trust offers scholarships for students entering the industry looking to attend a boating industry educational program.
The Boating Industry is a great industry to work in and there are opportunities available today that could lead to a lifetime of enjoyable work.
