Mayflower II Returns to Plymouth, MA

The Mayflower II returned to her homeport of Plymouth Harbor after undergoing an extensive three-year reconstruction at the Mystic Seaport shipyard.

The wooden ship—a full-size replica of the original Mayflower that brought the Pilgrims to the New World 400 years ago in 1620, was built in England, and sailed to Plymouth in 1957.

Thousands of spectators and numerous private vessels greeted the Mayflower II outside Plymouth Harbor at around 1:00 and followed her to her berth at Frazier Memorial State Pier, where she will be open for public tours on Wednesday.
