Memorial Bricks May Help Maintain Old Scituate Light
May 22, 2014
Patriot Ledger: Residents and visitors could soon memorialize a loved one, a date or moment in time and leave a lasting mark at Old Scituate Light in Cedar Point.
David Ball of the Scituate Historical Society and Bob Gallagher, a Marshfield High School history teacher and the keeper of the light, went before selectmen Tuesday night to pitch the idea for a memorial brick project.
Ball said the society has fielded several inquiries from people who want to do something at the 203-year-old lighthouse to remember a friend or family member.
