Mossing Dory Competes in Blackburn Challenge

Wicked Local Scituate: Scituate [Massachusetts] native Tucker Patterson said he has always wanted to take part in the prestigious Blackburn Challenge, a 20-plus-mile race in the open waters around Cape Ann, as a single entrant in a dory.
This past July he did just that, placing in the top tier in the workboat class with an 80-year-old mossing dory donated to the Scituate Historical Society, of which Patterson, a lobsterman, is a trustee.
