New Amphibious Boat Model Tested in Bristol, RI
February 7, 2016
EastBayRI.com reports on a new amphibious boat model being tested by Sealegs in Bristol, RI. Featuring retractable wheels that allow it to drive on land and into and out of the water, the new 32’ model is being built in conjunction with ReconCraft, a Massachusetts-based builder of military and law-enforcement boats.
The boat is based on ReconCraft drawings but was built by Sealegs, and features twin 350-hp turbo jetdrives. According to Josh Trout of Sealegs, the boat’s amphibious abilities make it a great search and rescue boat.
