December 8, 2014
In this episode of New England Boating TV, co-hosts Tom Richardson and Parker Kelley sample the sweet-water boater’s paradise of Maine’s Sebago Lake region, just an hour’s drive from Portland. First stop is the Moose Landing Marina on Brandy Pond, where the NEBO crew launches its boat and heads off in search of aquatic adventures!
Featured in the show are dock-and-dine segments at Rick’s Café on the Long Lake/Brandy Pond Causeway and the popular Frye’s Leap Café & General Store on Sebago. Parker and Tom also take a scenic cruise along the Songo River, passing through the historic lock system on their way from Brandy Pond to Sebago.
Of course, Sebago and Brandy are ideal for watersports, and Parker and Tom partake in some tubing and PWC action. They also check out Point Sebago Resort, which offers all manner of fun, water-related activities for the whole family, as well as a unique camping experience.
Last but not least, Parker and Tom are treated to an impromptu seaplane ride with local pilot Matt McFadden for spectacular aerial views of the local lakes and ponds.
