New Haven Register: Boaters, residents and beachgoers protesting plans to bring sludge into the city harbor from Bridgeport, Connecticut, didn’t take to the streets Sunday (June 10); they took to the waves.

A flotilla of watercraft left the New Haven Yacht Club off Cove Street and boat, kayak owners and fellow protesters circled bright orange buoys near the area targeted by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for depositing dredged material.

“We do feel very passionate about the issue because it’s a crime against the New Haven Harbor,” said Alex Galli, a Morris Cove resident and owner of a Bristol 24 Corsair named “Luna.”
