New London Children’s Festival This Saturday

The Fish Tales, Tugs, & Sails festival for children will be held this Saturday, July 21, from 11:00 to 4:00 at the New London Waterfront Park. Admission is free.

The festival will feature children’s-book authors and illustrators Mark Shasha (“Night of the Moon Jellies”) and Tish Rabe (“The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library”). Music provided by Steve Elci, Destiny Africa, and Island Rhythm.

Children can participate in activities and visit the sea creature touch tank.

Boaters can tie up at the New London City Pier or the Customs House dinghy dock.

Boats up to 18′ can tie up to the dinghy dock floats next to the Custom House pier for up to 4 hours at no charge, space permitting. Larger boats can dock at City Pier in 2011 for up to 4 hours at no charge, space permitting. Get there early!
