New Marina Opens in Portland, Maine

The new 150-slip Fore Points Marina on Portland’s East End opened in May, providing a much-needed boating facility on Casco Bay that’s within walking distance of downtown. The marina is part of a larger project to develop the former Portland Co. complex site. The 10-acre property will include a mix of living options, with shopping, restaurants, a hotel, office space, and communal outdoor space.

According to a Fore Points representative, all slips in the Peaks section of the marina (reserved for boats up to 25 feet) have sold out for the season. Slips for larger vessels and megayachts of “unlimited” length will open later this summer. Transient slips can be reserved via the marina website.

Thus far, marina amenities include:

  • Wave Attenuators
  • Fuel dock
  • High speed in-slip fueling
  • Surveillance and security gates
  • Professional Staff & Concierge
  • Ice & Water
  • Electric (up to 480 volt)
  • WiFi and Fiberoptic internet
  • Showers & Laundry
  • Rubbish & Recycling
  • Pump-out
  • Bistro and full bar
