NH Kids Release Homegrown Trout into Cocheco River

Fosters.com reports on the students at Woodman Park Elementary School in Dover, New Hampshire, who released their classroom-reared baby trout into the Cocheco River.

The children, aged 6 through 9, released the tiny trout near the dam on Watson Road on Thursday, May 8, after raising hem from eggs to the fry stage. The project was aided by the Great Bay Trout Unlimited and New Hampshire Fish and Game. These groups can help set up similar programs at other local schools.
