NH Teens Set Sail in Ocean Classroom

SeacoastOnline: A group of nearly 20 Seacoast teens set sail on an intrepid voyage Sunday afternoon as part of a weeklong Ocean Classroom Foundation program at sea.

Most of them had never stepped foot on a boat before. Several said their only maritime experience was on a cruise ship. The next seven days will be a lot tougher than a luxury cruise.

They gazed with trepidation at the 125-foot, double-masted schooner named “The Spirit of Massachusetts” as they got their first chance to explore the ship as it sat docked in the Piscataqua River at the State Pier near the Sarah Long Bridge.
