Oyster Symposium Examines Broad Range of Topics

The 6th International Oyster Symposium was held in Falmouth, MA, from Oct. 19-23, and attracted over 300 attendees from about 19 countries, according to the Cape Cod Times. The symposium was held at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole and the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth.
Presentations focused on everything from recent advances in aquaculture techniques to how oysters can be used to clean up nutrient contamination and provide buffers from storms in coastal waters.
