Salem News: After more than 20 years, the dream of rehabilitating West Peabody’s [MA] Crystal Lake and Elginwood Pond is getting closer to reality.
City officials will present a plan for dredging the two waterways at a 6:30 public meeting on Thursday, April 2 at City Hall’s Wiggin Auditorium.
Under a proposal advocated by Mayor Ted Bettencourt and adopted by the city council, the city has set aside $2.5 million to create a recreational area suitable for boating, fishing, picnicking and walking.
