Piscataqua Bridge Repair Estimated at $2.5 Million

SeacoastOnline: Damage to the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge is estimated at $2.5 million, in the wake of a maritime accident Monday [April 1], when it was struck broadside by a cargo ship.

Cianbro, of Pittsifield, Maine, will be performing the repairs, and has already started work on fabrication, staging and mobilization. Workers should be on site starting next week, according to N.H. Department of Transportation spokesman Bill Boynton.
