At Craven’s Landing off North Shore Boulevard, a parking area is roped off to protect the endangered bird species, but the area is not completely closed, David DeConto said. Foot traffic is allowed and those who can carry a canoe or kayak in are still able to launch into Scorton Creek near Cape Cod Bay, he said.
