CapeCodOnline: Adventurer William David Pearlman, better known as “Poppa Neutrino,” a man of leaky rafts, wanderlust and a fixture on the Provincetown waterfront in the 1990s, has died at the age of 77.

Pearlman died Sunday at University Hospital in New Orleans of heart failure, according to his daughter, Ingrid Lucia Marshall.

“He was an eternally optimistic soul who wanted everybody to be free to pursue their dreams and desires,” said Marshall, a New Orleans resident. “and he did a lot of exploring and suffering, a lot of personal growth on the way.”
