Port Clyde Kayaks Moving to New Facility
January 23, 2011
Port Clyde Kayaks of Port Clyde, Maine, will be moving to a larger facility this season. Owner Brian Cody explained that the new location, on Factory Road behind the Monhegan Ferry parking lot, is just down the street from the company’s current location at 6 Cold Storage Road.
Customers will still be able to launch near the shop, which will now offer better parking. The building is owned by Monhegan Boat Lines, which formerly used it as a storage facility.
Port Clyde Kayaks is celebrating its 8th season in 2011, and offers lessons and some great guided tours of the surrounding waters, including its popular “porpoise watch” trip ($55 per person). The shop also sells kayaks, equipment, standup paddleboards, apparel and more.
