Protection Funding Sought for LI Sound

Wall Street Journal: Lobbyists for the environment and Long Island Sound are urging New York and Connecticut congressional delegations to spend more than $36 billion over the next 20 years to upgrade wastewater plants in the 2 states.
The Stamford Advocate reports (Billions sought to restore L.I. Sound) that representatives of the Connecticut Fund for the Environment and Audubon societies of New York and Connecticut also lobbied Wednesday for continued spending for the Long Island Sound Restoration and Stewardship Act.
