Public Lacking Access to Beverly, MA Waterfront
July 7, 2016
Public access to much of the waterfront in Beverly, Massachusetts continues to be tied up in a decades-long legal battle, according to an article on SalemNews.com.
After more than 30 years of efforts to create a public walkway required by law along one of the city’s most scenic areas, one still does not exist. The problem stems from a legal battle over a license the Beverly Port Marina is supposed to have but still doesn’t nearly 20 years after the marina first applied for it.
